I think the snowman should hold the shotgun in a better position - against its shoulder, not in front of its chest, and have the eyes near the top of the barrel. There should also be more recoil in the gun, which will transfer into the shoulder, don't make just the gun and arms move like for 1-2 frames like here. Make the recoil animation last a bit longer, for added realism, if you want.
As it is holding the gun now, aiming would be difficult and inefficient, and recoil would kick and transfer right into the chest.
